Last week, I attended Mark Ainsworth’s fascinating talk on Neurodiversity. Entitled “understanding your exceptional autistic and ADHD colleagues”, I found the session hugely informative, not only explaining ADHD and Autism, but also other specific learning disorders such as dyspraxia and dyslexia.

Huge congratulations to Jonathan Reynolds, who was awarded the Jon Walker Award for 2023. Jonathan has been the Chair of the SLA for over ten years from 2013 to 2023.

It is with some sadness that we announce our chairman for over ten years, Jonathan Reynolds has decided to stand down. Jonathan has put in a lot of hard work over the years which has ensured the continued success and growth of the SLA. We would all like to thank him for his expert guidance and hope he will continue to be part of the committee and society in the coming years.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our 20th anniversary celebration event on the 18th October 2022.

We welcomed over 80 delegates to our first in person event since 2019 and it was wonderful to catch up with faces from the past and lots of new members too.

This is a must attend, not to be missed event, celebrating 20 years of the Society for Location Analysis.

We’ll be taking a look back and also try to predict any trends facing the location analysts of the future.
