SLA Student Award Winners 2021

Congratulations to our four winners in this year’s SLA Student Awards for 2021. We chose a winner and a runner up for both our Masters and Undergraduate categories and once again we had really impressive entries.

Thank you to all the students who entered and everyone who helped us spread the word.

Here are our winners:

Winner: Aimee Thomason, Postgraduate Student in GIS, Leeds University
Runner-up: Catherine Duffy, Data Analyst at Geolytix

Winner: George Sullivan
Runner-up: Hannah Gin

Interestingly, all our student entries this year were studying at the University of Leeds, which is great for Leeds, but we’d love to hear from students at other universities too.

Thanks also to our judges, Jonathan Reynolds, Deputy Dean & Associate Professor in Retail Marketing, Said Business School, Oxford and Luke Burns, Associate Professor in Quantitative Human Geography at University of Leeds.

If you attend our next event, Logistics and the Future of Retail Real Estate, taking place on zoom on 10th February, you will get to meet a few of these amazing students and we hope to give the winners a chance to present their results. It’s free to attend for members of the SLA so please us the link above to book your place.
