Location Planning Project Manager at morrison
We are currently recruiting for a Project Analyst to join the Location Planning team based at Hilmore House in Leeds/Bradford. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with Location Planning Managers, providing analysis to continually improve our sales forecasting accuracy and techniques.

If successful, your responsibilities will include the analysis of existing store performance and the customer behaviour leading to that performance, together with the development of new and existing models to produce sales forecasts for future and trading stores of various formats. You will use spatial and statistical techniques to produce analysis to an industry-leading level of accuracy. You will perform analysis to understand the physical factors affecting store performance, using these outcomes to improve forecasting techniques and sharing them with the business. You will produce ad hoc analysis for the Location Planning and Property teams and other parts of the business, to a high standard and to tight deadlines.

We are looking for a highly analytical candidate with experience of project analysis and experience of spatial and statistical analytics. Advanced proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint is required. You will have experience of analytical tools such as SAS, SQL Server, SPSS, Alteryx or other.

Experience of GIS systems is also an advantage but is not essential. You will be both creative and proactive, with the ability to assimilate and analyse data to make critical, objective and reasoned judgements. You will enjoy both working as part of a quickly growing and highly motivated team and on your own. A willingness to learn new and specialist software is also required.

You will be able to communicate well verbally and using reports, explaining complex issues in a straightforward manner to a variety of audiences. You will be able to cope with a demanding (and often pressured) workload. An understanding of the UK retail (preferably food) market, geography and demographics is desirable.

If you are interested in taking on a new challenge and have the skills to strengthen our team further, then we want to hear from you.
