This is a unique and key role within the Network Planning Team at Coles. This team is responsible for advising where to build new stores and for forecasting how much money they will take.
Leading a team of four analysts the role is both responsible for ensuring that the Network Planning Team have a world class GIS system, and that the wider Coles business has all of the relevant data it needs on stores, catchments, customers and competitors in order to drive better business decisions. The key customers for this role stretch across Property, Finance, Marketing and Operations areas.
The successful applicant will be able to show that they have:
• An excellent track record of developing talent within their role as a line manager.
• Delivered significant improvements to ways of working within the team in a timely manner.
• Shown excellent communication skills to a broad and senior audience.
• World class technical skills in the GIS and Analytical field.
The wider team is responsible for all aspects of Network Planning for the Coles business. This ranges from standalone Liquor stores, to our Fuel/Convenience alliance with Shell, and across a range of different sized supermarkets and superstores.
