Jonathan Reynolds – AI Agents and Analysis in Retailing
Jonathan will mainly focus on the ways in which the use of AI agents (a) can provide new sources of insight on customer behaviour and demographics for firms and (b) will alter the power dynamics between consumer and the retailer. Finally, the implications for location planning professionals.

Matthew Pratt and Sue MacLure, CACI
Join Matt & Sue as they share perspectives on the evolving GIS & AI Landscape and the implications it has for our industry. Matt will be walking through some of the latest advancements and thinking in AI applications and how it will reshape our day-to-day lives in geospatial analytics, whilst Sue shares ethical and watch-outs for how we use AI tools in the right ways.

Ed Griffiths – Construction Intelligence, Data Application and AI

Introduction to Barbour ABI, a market research company specialising in the Built Environment tracking construction from application through to completion. Barbour ABI has over 3,000 customers in the UK spanning the construction supply chain through to those looking to leverage the data as an asset such as insurance companies and financial institutions. Barbour ABI have recently launched a new AI proposition to all its customers helping them better interact with their data as well as beginning to integrate AI into their research and data collection processes.

Matt has an MSc in GIS, 5 years industry side at Sainsbury’s, 7 years Consultancy side in Retail Strategy and Analysis at Accenture. Now at CACI, Associate Partner in Location Intelligence helping drive and innovate solutions across sectors and markets, driving value for our clients. My sweet spot has always been linking broader strategic objectives with deep analytical modelling and insight.


Sue Maclure

Director of Data at CACI Ltd

Board level experience of business sales and relationship management, generating revenue through the transformation of data driven technology and processes. (1st, 2nd and 3rd party). Sue is a pragmatic problem solver – understanding the commercial requirements and how technology and data science can be used to deliver them. Ability to effectively involve all areas of the business, modern day data driven business requires all functions to work together.


Dr Jonathan Reynolds

Jonathan Reynolds, Chairman

Deputy Dean & Associate Professor in Retail Marketing at Oxford University’s Said Business School and Academic Director, Oxford Institute of Retail Management, Saïd Business School

Jonathan Reynolds is widely considered to be one of the world’s leading academics in this field. He took over as Chairman in 2014 from Peter Sleight who retired from the position and devoted nine years to his chairmanship. His hard work, connections and tireless dedication to the group keeps it fresh, current and forward thinking.


Ed Griffiths

Head of Analytics, Barbour ABI

Ed’s background includes a Masters degree in Psychology, which is where his love for research and data stems from. Ed has been working for the last 14 years in the FMCG Industry helping clients and retailers grow their businesses by leveraging data before moving into the Construction Intelligence space at Barbour ABI.


Ed Parsons

Digital Geographer, a Geospatial Technology Advisor and Keynote Speaker

Ed Parsons is a Digital Geographer, a Geospatial Technology Advisor and Keynote Speaker.

Ed was Google’s Geospatial Technologist, with responsibility for evangelising Google’s mission to organise the world’s information using Geography. In this role he maintained links with Governments, Universities, Research and Standards Organisations which were involved in the development of Geospatial Technology. Ed also lead Google’s efforts in maintaining a healthy Open Data Ecosystem to support AI in Europe.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Open Geospatial Consortium and was co-chair of the W3C/OGC Spatial Data on the Web Working Group. He also represented Google at the EMTEL committee of ETSI developing geospatial solutions for emergency telecommunications.

Stewart Moody

Stewart Moody is CACI’s Head of Product for geospatial and sits within the strategy team. He has a wealth of experience in distributing location intelligence across organisations to satisfy a range of user personas and use cases. He continues to shape CACI’s strategic roadmap for democratising data via their data platform, SaaS and API services, and harnessing predictive models to drive smarter decisions.


Sam Fox

Sam is Director: Strategy and Investment Analysis at NewRiver REIT where she has worked since September 2024. Previously, she worked as Head of Research & Analytics at Ellandi, Sam’s role is to ensure that the investment, asset management and regeneration teams have all the insight they need to inform their strategy. Ellandi is the UK’s leading delivery partner for investing in, transforming and managing retail and town centre spaces. Since 2008 Ellandi has partnered with major stakeholders, from local authorities to global investors and lenders on over 50 projects across the UK.
