- You’ll be field-based in this role, working with live data from existing stores, historical data and statistical software to build predictive models for planned new stores
- Working in collaboration with Regional Location Analysts to continually improve their methods and templates through the interpretation and prediction of consumer behaviour
- Working out projections, writing assessments, making recommendations and presenting reports and findings
When you join The Co-operative Estates as a Location Planning Modelling Analyst, you’ll be joining a business area that is growing and growing. Our success is based on one simple, but massively important principle – a fair deal for everyone. The key purpose of your role is to develop and deploy predictive models for store turnover.
You’ll provide insight and guidance for projects which will improve the knowledge and ability of our Regional Location Analysts to actively identify and recommend potential trading opportunities. Using your experience and data gained throughout each year you’ll be responsible for building an annual predictive model, which will be utilised as the first screening filter for any potential trading opportunity and support a culture of continuous improvement.
In this exciting role you’ll also be required to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders, ensure service level agreements are adhered to and facilitate the decision making process that will shape our longer term strategy. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be…
- Proven in a comparable analytical / modelling role, mining data and statistics
- Able to build strong, long lasting relationships and influence upwards, both internally and externally with senior stakeholders
- Able to demonstrate great communications skills, in person, over the phone and in writing, with the ability to present and simplify complex data
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, whilst being flexible to our business needs
- PC literate, with specific strengths in Microsoft packages and with experience of SPSS software
- An excellent organiser of your time and able to work to tight deadlines
A full driving licence is also required.
