The Analytics & data Coordinator can be someone with 2 years’ experience in a relevant field or a Graduate in the spatial (GIS), statistical, mathematical disciplines.

The Analytics & Data Coordinator position is an entry-level position in the Professional Services team and will provide the incumbent a hands-on opportunity to learn about practical data modeling and analysis and pave the way for future career growth in Pitney Bowes Software within the Professional Services department as a Consultant.

The Analytics Coordinator will be working with retail, telco, insurance, financial and other businesses to maximise the value they get from spatial data. This will be done by interpreting real business issues, analysing data, and formulating effective and practical analytical data and modelling solutions for our customers. Typically you will produce demographic analysis and reporting using MapInfo GIS suite (MapInfo Professional, MapInfo Drivetime, MapInfo Modeller), penetration reports and analysis using customer data with MapInfo’s data sets. The Analytics and Data Consulting department provides a unique service to a wide range of customers who require expertly prepared data analysis within a limited time period.

We seek excellent communication skills, good numeracy, and ability to liaise directly with clients as well as senior management, marketing and sales. Knowledge of GIS, geography and planning would all be valuable.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To produce maps, analysis and reports for customers of a demographic nature.
  • To liaise with the customer and advise on Analytics offerings, typically via phone or email to ensure all their requirements are captured to produce work of a high standard.
  • Liaison with Marketing and Order Processing teams is required to ensure work is invoiced correctly and suitable marketing material produced.
  • To contribute effectively to data projects/innovation/enhancement
  • To support on Analytics projects as and when necessary in accordance with the requirements of the Analytics manager
  • To identify and follow up business opportunities with existing and new clients in collaboration with more senior members of the team to maximise sales
  • To assist in the preparation of project proposals, sales support, business development, marketing and presentation materials

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree, spatial (GIS), statistical, mathematical background preferred
  • Proficient user of GIS software
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and be logical and methodical in your approach to work
  • Must be a quick learner, particularly when learning about new products or skills
  • Excellent communication skills – including oral, written and presentation skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient user of MS Access, Word and Excel
