As Competitor New Store Pipeline Analyst for Sainsbury’s, you will develop, maintain and update our knowledge of upcoming competitor openings.
You will analyse impact, support the Location Planning teams and help drive a step change in the use of demographic data and location analysis. Experience of customer/sales based analysis in the retail sector is essential, with knowledge of complex databases, 3rd party demographic and retail performance data.
Degree educated, preferably in Geography, Economics or Town Planning, you will combine strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across the business. SAS programming experience would be ideal, supported by the broad commercial awareness need to provide relevant, meaningful business analysis that places the customer firmly at the heart of key decision-making proposals.
Sainsbury’s is an established retailer with ambitious plans for the future. While we already have more than 1,000 stores, we are still expanding and growing our product ranges in areas such as General Merchandise, Electrical, Entertainment, Energy and Clothing, as well as food. By 2020, 20% of our sales will come from beyond our ‘core supermarket’ business, creating remarkable scope for you to both accelerate and diversify your career development.
Keep us ahead of the competition.
