As a Senior Location Planner for Sainsbury’s Convenience Division, you will manage all location planning requirements within a defined geographical area. It’s an exciting and diverse role with huge potential for the right individual(s).
This is your opportunity to take ownership of the relationship between Retail and Property, providing accurate forecasts for new store openings and extensions. You will analyse potential performance, assess the impact of competitor openings and make clear, strategic and commercial recommendations. You will be an expert on the retail landscape, constantly identifying opportunities to challenge accepted practices, improve and simplify methodologies and ensure that customer needs are at the heart of all capital investment decisions.
Working with colleagues in the Supermarket team, you will develop an integrated and targeted network plan to meet the needs of a fast-growing business focussing resource on the right sites.
You will have strong analytical skills and significant experience of GIS within a complex retail environment, supported by a relevant degree. Good communication skills are essential as is your ability to work as part of a team, bringing out the best in every individual. You must possess the ability to plan and prioritise your own work, and that of your zone ensuring key deadlines are met.
