SLA Student awards

Established in 2014, the Society for Location Analysis Student Awards have just gone from strength to strength.

Over that time we have awarded a total of £5,600 to our 40 student winners. Rewarding and encouraging excellence in Location Analysis is something we feel passionately about – continuing to celebrate our excellent student members as they embark on careers in location planning.

If you know anyone who you think should enter our awards, please share this link with them: https://thesla.org/student-awards/.

The deadline for entries this year is Friday 19th September, so you still have plenty of time to get those applications in. Here are two of our winners from last year, pictured with our Awards Director, Luke Burns, Associate Professor in Quantitative Human Geography at University of Leeds.

We’re also automating the process this year with an online application form, which should make life easier for both students and our administrative and judging panel.

Do you have a dissertation that shows excellence in location analysis? Could you be our next Student Awards winner?
