We are looking for a candidate to join our Logistic technical team – working with companies from a broad range of sectors (e.g. retail, haulage, grocery, telematics), within the UK, across Europe and internationally.
The ideal candidate will have an analytical background and experience of working with logistics and supply chain. Your skills, knowledge and experience

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous work experience in a logistics analytical role, preferably with a knowledge stretching across warehousing, routing, fulfilment and supply chain
  • Have experience of working with logistics planning tools

OnSite Consultants are embedded in our clients’ organisations to support the creation of related analyses as part of DND studies, which may include regular services as well as ad-hoc projects. Your Role

As an OnSite Consultant you will:

  • Work predominantly at the client office location (Midlands), to support the deployment of IHS Markit solutions and systems.

The role of the Location Planning Partner is to be the key link between our customers and the rest of the Geolytix team. The Location Planning Partner understands and can articulate the art and science of location analysis and is passionate about its value in decision making. They also understand the broader context of our customers businesses and how location analysis fits within that.

Key responsibilities

  1. Project managing: the delivery of projects (e.g. implementing gravity models and overhauling site forecasting processes). This covers the full end to end delivery of the project, from initial customer relationship, through pitch, scoping, costing, co-ordinating the internal Geolytix delivery team, stakeholder management, final delivery, budget, invoicing and customer aftercare.
  2. Managing relationships with our clients: Ongoing – before, during and after projects.
  3. Analysis and providing insight: Pull out key insights after looking at the team’s analysis. (e.g. providing a strategic view for customer’s new space strategies). Mentoring others in the team (and sometimes customers) in approaches to analysis. Getting stuck into the data and doing own analysis.   4. Communication: Deliver clear, engaging written and verbal presentations and papers. Communicate across all types of stakeholders – senior management, in-house location planner, non-location planning customer (eg.   5. Securing new business: Maintaining a strong network of potential customers. Play an active role in developing our data and service offers to ensure we lead our field. Know what the competitive landscape is. Leading and supporting sales pitches.

About you

The Location Planning team help play a crucial role to support Domino’s vision to become the number one pizza company in every neighbourhood. From developing a robust network plan through to understanding what makes our stores perform the way they do and how to make the most of our data- this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team tackling key strategic questions.

You will be supporting Domino’s Pizza Group (DPG) achieve its ambitious growth plans through the development of a network location strategy by providing analysis and insight into new and existing store performance across the UK and  Ireland . You will be building strong, effective relationships with franchisees and colleagues across the business to help deliver our growth plans.

With good experience of using Geographic Information Systems for spatial analysis, you will be the go-to person for our franchisees, be an expert in store performance, property/territory and catchment demographics.

You will have the ability to perform analysis/statistical techniques and then translate into actionable insight. You will review, update and maintain the growth plan for the geographical regions/supported franchisees whilst providing accurate sales forecasts and location appraisals for new store opportunities to deliver the right store in the right location at the right time.
