Building the evidence base for the night time economy, BT, London, 13th June

The night time economy covers a wide range of activity between the hours of 6pm and 6am, covering everything from entertainment, bars and restaurants to the engine rooms that keep cities moving and healthy and secure: distribution, health and social care, transport. In our next event we will be joined by BT, who are kindly hosting this session, to explore how policies can shape cities and the services that serve them.

It is with some sadness that we announce our chairman for over ten years, Jonathan Reynolds has decided to stand down. Jonathan has put in a lot of hard work over the years which has ensured the continued success and growth of the SLA. We would all like to thank him for his expert guidance and hope he will continue to be part of the committee and society in the coming years.

Established in 2014, the Society for Location Analysis Student Awards have just gone from strength to strength.

Over that time we have awarded a total of £5,600 to our 40 student winners. Rewarding and encouraging excellence in Location Analysis is something we feel passionately about – continuing to celebrate our excellent student members as they embark on careers in location planning.
